LT1 Questions

I am looking for some Chevy fast burn heads and would like to know if they came out of any cars or are they an aftermarket item only.

On the LT1 one motor can you put a regular short Chevy water pump on it. I am looking to switch it over to a carb and want to run a regular water pump as well.

The LT1 (genertion 2 SBC) is reverse cooling, so standard SBC generation one water pump will not work.
