AWESOME! I loved checkin' this car out when I was there! Top notch work from you and your crew Kevin!! I stopped in and visited Kevin and Chad when I was out in Chicago for Thanksgiving and saw this car in person and I have to tell you the fab work is INCREDIBLE! Brilliant frame and suspension designs, flawless metal work and some of the nicest welds I've EVER seen!! There is so much talent at this shop and I have to say some really great guys as well! Well done! Now would you get back on the 35 lakes car so I can see some progress on that thing!

Glad to see they made it home safe. The weather here sucks, and they had the rest of the snow storm riding up their asses the whole way home. I think Bob said it tood almost 8 or 9 hours to drive what normally takes 5.

Lucky Strike was the most commonly used name through WWII for US aircraft!! It adorned mainly bombers and attack aircraft, kinda like 'Sleepy time gal' was most popular for US night fighters, when you think about it there were so many planes being painted up that one name had to pop up more times than any others. As for lucky? In Viet Nam gunships lost their nose art in a hurry after it was discovered they were tracked by the colourful nose art. It explained a sudden increase in the types loss!! Doc.
I talked to Bob the other day. He says the motor is still awaiting it's turn on the dyno. The frame should be back from the powdercoater by this weekend, and the body work is almost ready for paint. Their goal is to bring it to the Pile Up. So you might all get to see it!
Well, just want to update the progress on Lucky Strike. Got the Hemi off the dyno yesterday. It sure was tough to cover all those beautiful welds. Ryan did a great job getting all of the components ready to powdercoat. At one point, I just wanted to leave it all bare metal and just clear coat it since it looked so good!!! Here are some pics, will add more soon.
Just a quick question...that engine was broken in already, right? If not, did you do a cam break-in after that short video?

Yes, the motor was broken in earlier. It was built by Michael's Racing Engines in Macedonia, Ohio (close to Akron and Cleveland). These guys are just true professionals! They allowed my son to come in and work with them putting the Hemi together as this is the point of this build. I highly recommend Michael's along with Kevin, Chad and the entire team at Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle. It's tough to make a mistake when you have resources like these guys in your corner! And believe me, I can make mistakes with the best of them!
