Thats funny, Although I think your gonna have to ask Bobby for those pictures.

The Fidgiter, hemi coupe to name a few, Big thanks to you guys. So many impressive builders here on the hamb.

Mcload you are absolutely right. When you do a project like this there are so many things that keep coming up that need to be addressed. For every step I take there is ten more to do. I'm sure many of you will attest to this....Lucky

Absolutely. I hadn't really looked at the two (our coupes) side by side until this morning when Ryan put them on the Jalopy Journal. I like how a couple of cars that share so many similar parts and ideas can still look different.

These pics make me want to stop what I'm working on and mock up the hood.

  11. Wonderful coupe Lucky. Have you planned on how you will exit for the Tech Inspectors? I can't tell if you are planning on a roof hatch or going out through the door. The couple photos of you in the car looks like it will be a real issue doing an emergency exit with a fire suit on.

Rich the photos of me are in the original Chrisman Coupe not my car...

I'm about to find out how much room I'll have when I get my cage done. Its gonna be tight no matter what. I originally planned a center steer but Its all gonna all depend how creative I can get and still be legal....Its gonna be a door exit not sure which one but I will have to lean over and dive out (so to speak). I guess I'm gonna find out...Lucky

The windshield surround/cowl top is a 36 Ford coupe.

I did a few things different than the orginal car. I softened the front corners of the roof different from the original car..I also tried to keep the flow of the body line of the Model A consistant with the body line of the 40 Ford hood. Heres a shot of that....

NICE! I like that hood or trunk X brace in the top. GLOSS BLACK is the only color for that ride!

Lucky, its great to see those pictures, the bottom hood looks awesome.

You told me that you got claustrophobic during tech inspection in the bellytanker, and you wrote here that there was hardly any room when you sat in the Chrisman coupe, are worried about this happening again??

    Dave.

Whats up Dave? Yeah not really. The Chrisman Coupe was a rear engine car and the engine took up most of the cab area as you can see in the pictures of me in it. My car is front engine and I will have lots more room than that. Although its gonna be a small inside the car when its all done....Lucky

You should paint the top and bottom of the hood aera yellow and the body black and it would look like a crow.
With the body lines it would look like it was already running 200 when it hit the salt.

Man does this ever bring back memories !!!!!!!!!!

My older brother was building a chopped 34 Ford coupe.
It looked just like this when he died in 62.

I was 16 and we lived in Margate, Florida at the time.

    SLICK!

Will you use a majority of the bottom hood as part of a belly pan? I just love the way it flows.

Well I'm sad to report I have not had an extra penny to put into my race car. This economy has been kicking my ***... I promise I will give a update just as soon as possible. I promised myself I would get working on it again right after Bonneville this year. My new goal is to race a couple of El Mirage meets at the beginning of the season next year.. Bonneville 100% next year... Lucky
