W.L Luckey has passed on,but his annual Rod run at the Chicken Oil Co in Bryan,Texas is this SUNDAY,Jan. 10th.Somewhere around 30 years ago.W.L. And a few friends (hot rodders) ventured over to Chicken Oil Co for some burgers and brews. They continued on for years and it turned into an annual affair. Flatheadjohn47
Question for you about the large air cleaner on the 2 97's (??? 94's) on the early flattie Y manifold. What is that on there ?? as I'm tired of running the little chrome bell heads that clog up so fast and make my 8ba dual 97's run rich. Also the flattie looks very nice in that old timey highboy roadster
I do not have any pics.January weather in south Texas is unpredictable.Four/five years ago, weather was nice and 400 - 500 cars attended. There is no entry fees,no classes,no winners,no announcements,no music; get the idea, just a bunch of hot rod enthusiasts meeting and greeting their friend and buddies.Eat a great burger, drink some beer, visit awhile and then leave when you get ready;it's that simple.Nothing to tie you down, come and go as you please!
Got excited till I seen the date. Where can you keep up with things going on in Texas? I seem to miss everything
