Been a lurker for some time, decided to finally sign up. I'm a member of a few other forums a lot of people here are already on, different username but normally the same avatar.

My dad and I have been working on our '30 Chevy on and off for a few years now, still not running perfect thanks to that darn Holley and currently a possible ignition problem - haven't really looked at it yet. It's a 2dr sedan, 383 w/B&M blower, 700R4, chromed Heidts front end, disc brakes all around, Versailles rear end w/4:56's and the list goes on.

We also have an old Corvette, had it for 30 years. Nothing special, needs restored - hopefully we'll get around to it soon..

Thanks. The car still has wooden floorboard - new wood. Most of the framing is updated with new wood. The car was built up in the late 80's/early 90's from an uncompleted restoration job, that owner didn't replace the wood, next owner - a friend of our did.

Story of how we got the car. A co-worker/friend of my dad's kept telling him about it for a few years. When he talked about the car he spoke of it like it was a POS mentioning about how the interior was unfinished. He came to us and said he was selling the car to get a newer-used Camaro SS (this was about 5 years ago). Mentioned the price and we thought it was a bit much for such a fixer-upper. We thought it wasn't drivable since we'd never seen it. Decided to look at it anyhow, it was MUCH nicer than described.

The interior is (and still is) velour. Had a huge B&M shifter he put in there and an 80's style Grant steering wheel. Also the door panels were exposed wood and you can see the roof slats due to no headliner.

I have since put on a banjo wheel, a Lokar shifter and put some vinyl on the door panels. Still need to do more work but mechanical issues take priority. Still would love to see some other '28-'32 Chevy's. Most of the ones I see are a little too updated for my taste. I wouldn't mind some wide whites on it. The picture below is a Day 1 pic. I'm not showing the interior pic - it was hideous.
