Have been lurking here for years admiring the work done here. Have been a car guy all my life, but most of my experience is in off roading. Working the last few years to really improve my fab skills. Getting rid of my '67 goat that I have had for 20 years, first car and project, along with my off road cars. I have a '54 Chevy pickup I got from a farmer that's been sitting in the weeds for too long and am getting ready to start on. It will get some modification as it will be my DD when it's finished, sorry traditionalists. Still just planning and researching right now: Gen 4 5.3 motor 6l90 trans Custom build a ch***is, IFS front, parallel rear 4 link Chop the cab 1 1/2 inches, some creature comforts spend a lot of time reading build threads and getting ideas, will never run out of things to learn from you guys (gals). If you have advise or experience building one of these trucks I would love to hear it!
