Hi guys, my name is Matt. I've been lurking on here for quite some time, soaking some knowledge and getting a good history lesson in the meantime. I've always had a love for old 40's and 50's cars but never had either the money or space to work on em. So instead, I've spent the past twelve years working on old vw's (yeah I know how some of you just LOVE vw's). Well I've had enough for a while and want to move on to something more substantial. And if I can get the right ride here soon, I hope to have a sweet ride by Lone Star Roundup! So I hope ya don't mind if I pick you brains and ask for help from time to time. Laters. -M
Hello & Welcome Matt...if you are into VW's then you may know my brother (He works at VeeDub) I'm sure you can find a sweet ride before the roundup. Give me a holler I may know someone local that has an old car for sale.......Mickey
Thanx guys. Yeah the VW scence here is pretty tight, so I prolly know your brother Mickey_Rat. Here's my most recent VW, a 61 that I grafted a ragtop into and slammed pretty good. Even had a custom cage built by the HAMB Alliance member Pipeworx. I miss this car, but not those wheels. And this was one of my other completed projects. Pulled this puppy out of a junkyard and built it up from nothin while I was in highschool. All work was done by me except paint. Sure, its nothing special, but it was a big deal for me to use my own money to bring something back to life. And now, my buddy Mike and I have a new project to bring back. A 1954 Chevy Bel Air. We by chance found the owner standing in a field next to it in BF-Egypt (Thanx for the tip TexasHardcore). Now the fun begins. It wont be ready for Lonestar Roundup 2007, but watch out in 2008!! How ya like those nasty Western Wheels? This baby has been sitting since 1979. Same year I was born. Its gotta be fate.
