Hello, been looking for a while and now ready to come outa the closet. HA! just bought a 49 f1. probably paid too much for it's condition, but it was in my price range and i have wanted an olde truck for a while. we have a 66 f250 and a 64 traveleze trailer, but they wern't old enough. my "new" project i call "bastardo" cause the owner, somewhere down the line, put a 283 and muncie 21 outa a 63/4 nova. don't know if it runs yet. maybe this weekend. the knucklehead i bought the truck from decided to take it apart a month before i bought it and used a grinder to cut all the bolts off, even cut thru the hinges to cut the pins...???? whatever, just more to do. will be asking questions soon. have looked thru here alot and found things like 9" swap, etc.. alot of great info. if it runs, will keep as-is till i can afford a 302 with ? trans.here is the 66 f250 w/ trailer at the ventura nationals last labor day. jason 49 f1
thanks for the welcome. this is what gets me, what was the PO thinking when he cut thru the door hinges? maybe i can weld them up and redrill the holes for the pins? and look at the bed...cut right thru the wood and all.....what a knucklehead
