Hello to all, I have been a lurker for quite awhile now. I visit the HAMB almost everyday, I really enjoy most of the posts and the humorus banter. I guess I need to reintriduce myself so here goes....I am an (almost?) old guy 45, my Dad was a circle tracker in the late '50's in northeast Indiana and southern Michigan, racin' got too expensive so he started buildin hot rods and customs for himself and that is where I got my love for traditional hot rods. I have a 1936 Ford 5window that is my first car, on Sept, 2 I will have owned that coupe for 29 years, I drove it to high school with a 283 and '36 driveline. It came off the road in 1989 as my wife and I raised 4 beautiful daughters. About 3 years ago they all said "Dad, it's your turn, get it back on the road". It should be on the road this fall. Our coupe has a 283, '49 Ford truck trans with Lincoln gears, '67 Chevelle rear on '36 wishbones and spring, banjo wheel, '40 Lasalle grill, '40 Chev headlights (I need some rings for these),louvered hood, hand made rear fenders with hand made flush fit skirts, '49 Plymouth bumpers......whew I'm gettin tired. My Dad has a '33 5window with 348 chev and tripower. I am a custom sheet metal instructor in Alabama at Brickster's competition, hi Brick. I got the oppertunity to work with Brickster for a short while and he is a great guy. Anybody in Alabama that wants to talk traditional cars please email me, I havnt been able to find much going on here just south of B-ham. Sorry for being long winded I think it's a teacher thing. y'all have a great week!
Welcome from Finland! Can you post some pics of your '36. My brother has '36 cabriolet kustom project with '38 LaSalle grille.
