Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by trulyvintage, Dec 21, 2024.

  1. Today I spent some time with a Hot Rod Legend who started out surfing & building model cars before his passion took him to his home garage
to start designing and crafting his ideas into Life

  4. Lynn’s Sedan Delivery that he had built
was on the street when I arrived to
pick up a vehicle he had sold to a
long time friend who had hired me
to transport it to Tacoma, Washington

Lynn is a local legend in SoCal hot rodding. He’s been the go-to guy for help building traditional hot rods for years.

That delivery sure does sit good. And the color reminds me of Dana red.

  7. Ever heard of Pat Askren ?

He stopped to visit yesterday when
I was arranging things in my trailer
and we visited for awhile - he has
built over 100 cars - retired fire chief
who is 80 years old and still going
    strong …

  8. I am fortunate to call Lynn a long time friend. We always make it a point to hang out at the GNRS and LA Roadster show. His current build should stop alot of people in their tracks when it comes out.

  9. I was picking up for Jim Hamlin

    Researching Lynn I came across
this about the history of one of Lynn’s
    most famous builds

    IMG_4317.jpeg

Lynn was “ returning the favor “ by
selling his 1932 Ford Hot Rod Shop Truck
to his old friend that Jim had been after
Lynn for 30 years to sell

  14. Great Hot Rodder and even better friend, thank you for the video. I have photos from my last couple trips to the USA (Will ask him if ok to post first), had good times with Lynn & friends. Looking forward to the projects he has in the works.

  18. One cool shop truck!

....and that ain't fake patina, that is well earned from been parked in Lynn's driveway exposed to the elements and from being used as a truck!
