I have just recently read on here that people have put the Eaton M-90 s/c on 292s and i am wondering could i run one of these units on my 235 with only headers and a custom intake with no bottom end work? or will it require alot of revamping

I am looking for this to be a decent budget built daily driver but no one around here messes with inlines so i want this to be a bit of a head turner

Who's to say you can't? I put one on an air-cooled vw. Got it to work ok.

  4. Assuming your 235 is a later full pressure oiling version, and the bottom end is good shape, it should be OK if you keep the boost to 6 psi or less. Start pushing the boost and you are asking for trouble. Even 6 lbs will give approx 40% increase in air/fuel mix getting into the engine at WOT. Most engines that are good condition can take 6 lbs, even stock cast pistons and stock bottom end. RPMs increasing over stock limits can cause more harm to the bottom end than a little boost.

I would not put any boost into an older splash-oiling 235 or 216. That is asking for bottom end trouble.

It is full pressure and on that style blower how do you limit boost pressure, is it the same as a bigger blower? And what are the RPM limits for a stock 58 235
