    Hello All-

Searched multiple threads today, M/T history, speed equipment, valve covers, etc....lots of really cool info, just didn't find what I needed...hence the question.

Recently picked up a set of Mickey Thompson valve covers for my FE. I've never seen these before, perhaps someone can i.d. them (estimation of era) by description and part number? I apologise, I don't have a camera.

Outside- "M/T" cast in middle. Far left side, there is a small circle with 'Ford' script in it. On the far right side, there is a larger circle, with "H/P 427" cast inside the circle. There are no breather holes.

    Inside/underneath, it says:

    "M/T" "FORD 427" "3293800"

They are not mint or concours, but nice- zero broken fins, no cracks, about the only real wear is one of them has the Ford script slightly worn.

Just thought they'd look neat on the Galaxie. Kinda hoping they are close to the year of the car (65)...I know it's one year O/T for the HAMB, but you guys seem to know tons about 60's stuff. Regardless, I like em, and look forward to running them.

Thanks to everyone for your time.

    Hi Deuces-

Eh, I don't have a camera. I tried to place a pic I found online of them, into this message, but I have zero clue what it's "http:/" thing is...I am a pc noob. I can't make the pic attach to this message. Sorry bout that. Stinks, cause the pic is pretty big and detailed.

At least you have a pc.... I'm still stuck in the stone age with webtv...

  5. Those were fairly common. I have seen a bunch of them and had some on a 390 back in the 80s. Probably came out around late 70s I would think.

    I have a 1964 and 1968 M/T catalog on my computer.

sounds like yours are newer than the 68's. these only have one circle.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I have a set of these that will be polished to show quality. Does anyone have a clue of the value? These are the covers with the Ford logo and the H/P 427

  8. Cant see the value being real high as they are very specific 427 unless somebody want's to run them on their 352 or 390 and explain it's not a 427 to everyone that looks at it.
Most guy's building 427's these days are doing them for restoration and are looking for original ford stuff

I see them on ebay for $150.00- $175.00 in nice condition. I bought a set of "wall hanger" quality covers for $45.00.
