M/T valve covers

Sorry..I sorta quit drinking and now I have a lot of questions about cars. When were the Mickey Thompson valve covers that were so popular in the 80s originally introduced? Anyone remember or know?

They were introduced in the '60's ......

 

There were several styles down through the years.
This is just one.

 

These are the ones I was talking about.

 

Nothing screams mullet like those M/T's, avoid at all costs. This guy has them on his tour van.

 

How do you know I don't have a mullet?
