Are the eaton m62 and m90 superchargers capable of being adapted to draw through carb use? Also what are the practical limits of hp and cid for them. Im eyeballing one for a AMC 252 I6. would like to stay carburated and I have machining and some fabrication skills.

I can't think of a reason as to why not. Apart from possibly the bearing not being sealed I don't think there is any reason, I've been told that the Eaton is a very efficient blower but generates a good bit of heat. Draw through makes an inter cooler impossible but I suppose the amount of heat generated would depend on how much boost you want. I'm running an Aisin AMR300 on my LSR sidecar. It originally blew only air. I'm running it as a draw through. No problems in that respect.

The only objection I can think of, is that gasoline might damage any seals on the rotors or bearings. I know nothing about their design or construction, this purely speculative.

Yep, on a V8-60. Only have a couple hundred miles on it, I put it on my old tired engine before replacing it this year. On the road again now. As I recall the bearings had seals but I can't be positive. All good so far. I read a couple threads about their successful use, mostly on inlines, before I started. Probably too small for larger V8s. Also there is another thread where a guy built an intercooler that goes underneath.

Blowby, would you post more pics of your setup? I can't really tell how the carbs are mounted. A duct would have to come from behind, up and over.

IIRC, he machined his own inlets on the top, and closed the original inlet at the back.

The front carb does go through the top, rear through a manifold bolted to the stock rear inlet. I did a thread on it but I can't find it.

Yeah I was going to say, intercooling is 100% possible with a roots style blower.

GM engineers say the seals in the Eaton superchargers are not compatible with fuels. One of my customers was on the development team for supercharged GM engines. He actually perfected the production 3.8 turbocharged engine/heads in his home shop.
