Have you folks used www.engineads.com in your search for antique machinery parts? Neat stuff shows up on there pretty regularly. I love old machinery of any kind. That stuff was built to last and built to be fixable.
I ran something like this some years back.... It had a tag on the side of it that read: Dept of Defense, Pontiac Motor Division.... It was put to use during WW2... I was honored to run production on it even though it leaked way oil all over the place....
My dad was a machinist and at one time the barn I bought off him was set up likely, with a drill press, lathe, Bridgeport, etc. He sold the Bridgeport and lathe. I still have the band saws, drill press, and a few other things. But they rarely get used, as I'm not a machinist at all. I know just enough to be dangerous.
