Yesterday I tried to get on their site to see about ordering some parts but all I got are you have no permission so are they a casuality of the times.
They got bought out a few years ago. I’m not sure who by? I stopped using them when everything was out of stock or on back order for years. I would called every six weeks to check the status of my order and probably a year or more later I was told they switched computer programs and all the existing back orders were canceled months ago . Glad someone finaly bothered to let me know
I quit working on big Ford projects because in my opinion all the full size Ford part vendors are worthless. They stock almost nothing…Set shipping cost were always too high and they never has been any personal customer service .
I’ve always had great luck with Snyder’s and love their catalogs. Ordered from them on the phone last week and I don’t think it was 36 hours before I had the part in hand. Very impressed.
This is my 'go to': https://www.mikes-afordable.com/ Mac's website: https://www.macsautoparts.com/ford-model-a.html
I spoke with a guy from Ecklers and he told me in confidence so to say. The new corporate deemed Model A stuff too low in volume sales and axed the operation. If one has a catalogue, by all means save it. The parts illustrations are actual photos or appear to be. I use mine for reference when shopping at other vendors sites.
Yeah, it will probably be the only thing you'll have from them that isn't out of stock. They used to be one of the best places to get parts for the '42-'47 pickups. Now, I have no use for them.
