    Volume one

On song 4, there is a sound clip something to the effect of, "a chevy go up against a two bit piece of junk." From what movie is this taken? I gotta see the race! :)

Between movies, magazines and book......I don't have any money for the hot rod.......I need to learn balance...

I think it's Two Lane Blacktop, but I'm not positive. I think he (JT) says it when he's at the drive in restaurant trying to find someone to race.

the sound clip is sooooo cl***ic......some little young punk eyeing some old clunker that is built for go and not show......

i hope the movie is as good as the sound clip..... :) i wanna see the two bit junker spank the uppity snot!

Yep, that's it... it's James Taylor saying it, BTW. It's a terrible movie, unless you are a gear head. The piece of junk in question is, as "the mechanic" describes it, a 32 Ford with a 427 and Carter Carbs. I think it's a Model A, though.

"Ordinarily I'd jump at the uh...opportunity. But the thing is, I'm just not in the habit of seeing the Chevy work against a two-bit piece of junk."

Hmm, I liked that movie. It has that artistic prose and abstract symbolism like Easyrider. Subtle stuff that pokes at society or at self evaluation. I hate movies that come right out and tell you what they are about.....

My dad saw Two lane in a drive in and got really pissed when the end of the film burned up. He thought it was real. Killer Movie! I personally like the footage of Big Willy and the Los Angelies Street Racers ***ociation in the first part of the flic. That was his Superbird.

You haven't seen the flick Young'n? You are gonna like it, check out the cool windows on the 55 chebby, sliders look tough!

  20. Two Lane Blocktop rules...there were 3 of those '55 Chevy's for Two Lane Blacktop...2 of them were used for the '55 in American Graffiti by Harrison Ford...and 1 was crushed in the 70's.

Hurry up Evel, I can't wait for the next MFS! You got me twitchin' over here like a crackhead.
