We have reservations at the Iron Horse for Friday and Saturday night. Hope to arrive mid afternoon on Friday, providing my Model A is capable of making it 267 miles, per google maps. I understand Blackwater isn't a very big town, although bigger than the one I live near, but just where in Blackwater is the car show....along the streets....town park....or ?? Hope to see you this weekend. Lynn
@lake_harley It's right behind the hotel. space junkie and another will be staying friday night also. we will be there setting things up friday night. The hotel is upper right. the paved area is the parking lot behind it.
I watched Ian tear it apart on tv. It's all changed. how could it be at a show in 2022? he sold the body few yrs ago. he saved the frame and put a new body on it.

Thanks @fuzzface It's not something I would build but it is a amazing car. Proud to have it at the show.
Just a quick note about the show. Jerry, the Madd Mayor and their wives were great hosts and my wife Carol and I, as well as my Brother-In-Law and his wife Joanne really enjoyed the show and our visit to Blackwater MO.! When I left home Friday morning my Model A coupe had maybe 140 miles of shake-down runs on it near home after getting it on the road, and by the time we returned this afternoon (Sunday) we had done 562 miles round trip for the show. My coupe did have just a couple small glitches along the way (to be expected) but we were always able to take care of them at gas stops and never broke down along the side of the road. Icing on the cake was that both of us got awards but I have no idea what the criteria was. Brother-In-Law got the "Gas Guzzler" award for his 352 equipped '66 Ford Pickup, and I was flattered to receive the "Hot Rod" award! The first photo below is in front of the WAY-COOL Iron Horse Hotel in Blackwater. The second is us with our awards. I'm the ruggedly handsome older gentleman on the right. Great time, and I look forward to "Madd Mayor" version .2023! Wouldn't trade the weekend trip for anything. Lynn
Thanks for coming. Wish we could have visited more. Really low attendance this year. Upsetting but still a good show. The quality of cars makes it worth doing. See you at the Boothill drags in July.
