Damn nice work and really looks good on your car !

Metalshapers are a great group of people . I do ask a lot of questions there and always get some very good help . I enjoy the honesty of the good and bad when you ask a question about something you did or going to do and the welding you did . They have been very helpful in my sheet metal welding as I learn techniques and the "do's and don't" when welding sheet metal ! They will help you in your metal work and welding skills the right way . Keep up the good work !

Make the slits with a Pullmax then bolt on the spears? Looks real good.

    Yeah, I used the Pullmax.

Basically they are 31" long louvers.

I had to make some strengthening strips on the inside, so they'd keep their shape over the full length.
I pressed the right shape in them with a little piece I made out of aluminum.
So they'd all be the same.
    ( 4 per louver, 2 per side, X2)

I bought a Spotwelder at Harbour Freight to weld them on with, but turned out to be a complete piece of garbage.
So I punched holes in the strips and roset welded them, with my MIG.

The stainless trim pieces are actually for a Ford...

I cut the piano hinge part off the original sides.

And the latch and lower strengthening rib are off the original hood sides too.

Beautiful job! I too really like the car. I just love the 36 Mopars (you could probably tell from my avatar). Bob
