I m a 1962 model ,my daily drive is a 65 mk 1 cortina(or will be again --on final assembly now). cars not really old enough but its kept alive in the spirit of hot rodding. Do just about all my own stuff-- hate having to buy something i can make or adapt---so what if it takes me days /weeks,and could be scrapped or remade.BUT i dont have any fancy machines so its all by 41/2 " grinder and its bigger sister -the 9" , my trusty mig welder. A battered selection of hand tools --many homemade--and my homebuilt forge ---sorry one more stalwart a very big industrial pillardrill--powered by my home brewed 3phase rotary convertor.Anything else would just lead to more bloodshed ,when absolutely neccessary machinework is farmed out---which usually envolves more bloodshed as my fingers try to prise open my wallet. When this car is done and the party dies down,i have a cunning plan to disract her attention away from the shed ---as i wheel in my next "blackhole" in time/money---my 1953 CommerQ4 truck(4x4 of 3.5 tons)
