Good old Muscle Car Madness... still going strong after all these years. I remember going in my old '51 Chev back in '90 and '91. Thanks for posting the photos.

    Glen.

No worries Glen. Glad you enjoyed the pics. Great to see an American visitor there in the shape of the infamous "Purple People Eater".
Got given a hard time by my clubmates as I haven't attended a meeting since Adam was a lad, and there's the old "where's YOUR rod?" comment I get every year. MCM is something I never miss as it's one of the very few unsanctioned events still thriving and surviving here in NZ.

  4. Thanks for the pics Martin.
I never made it, so its great to see your effort. Hope you took lotsa pics.

This is some damn fine cars!
Especially that blue bow tie! Okay, I'm bias, but it's a nice car. Can you get more pictures?

The only wrong I can see is the minor glitch in steering wheel location, but that ain't a big thing. Is it a 31?

    Its a 29. Belongs to a friend.
The steering wheel is where it should be.
Remember before Mr Ford changed to left hand drive, everybody drove with steering on right side.
We still do, we never changed.:D:cool:

Is that a fact. [emoji6] Next time around you claims it's the right side, because your best profe is you call it the right side, so the rest of world is wrong, and you are per definition right. LOL

So if he is you buddy, you should be able to get me some measurement of the body? And better pictures. [emoji41]
    Because that's awesome.

Henry Ford was the first to change in about 1908, then Cadillac was next, sometime in the tens.

I could get more pics, don't know when though.
The guy who built it, did so as a bare metal car.
It was featured I a DVD called, The red shift, series 2. Go to
    WWW.TheRedShift.co.nz
Current owner, Skeeta painted it blue. I helped lift body back on, and took pics. Not sure where they are, but I'll go see if I can find em for you.

Ever true bowtie fan, will claim he is always wrong. LOL

There is some pictures of a bare metal one on Google, is this the same car?

Is the new owner a HAMBer? [emoji2]

All in good time, and no stress. I can wait.

This car wouldn't happen to have the truck lid welded shut would it?

The body is almost a twin to the one that a fellow club member built in the early 70's but he sold it in the mid 70's and it disappeared. HRP

Thank you! I found a lot of pictures.
Where do I find dimensions of the body?

    That's a beautiful rod!

  17. Shouldn't be hard to find measurements for 29 Chev Roadsters on net.

Funnily enough, despite having seen this coupe a number of times, I can't recall if the trunk is welded or not. not even sure who owns it, but I'll try and find out. Like KiwiJeff says, it's been around for a while.

Maybe, but I can't seem to find em. I can find a great number of measurement for the 1928-32 fords, almost all body's. I've found some from Jimmy B. But that's a 25 Spurgin inspired body.
So if you can it would be great.

I would love hight from cowl center, tulip panel hight at center. A measurement between those two spots. Overall length, and width at the back edge of doors. And door length.

Is one of these guys you?

Looks good in bare metal, but I really dig that blue color.
