Magazines subscriptons for $8 a year!!

If any of you fellow Hambers want to give a gift to a buddy or even to yourself, check this out. I just received an email from Source Interlink (the old Primedia) that publishes Hot Rod, Rod & Custom, Street Rodder and most all car and bike magazines that's offering any of them for just $8.00 a year. Got taken by an Ebay sweet deal like this last year.
However, I have gotten some sweet deals through Ebay when they allowed mag. subs.

I got the same email but haven't followed it up yet. About 3 years ago I got an email from Primedia with a similar offer. I signed up for one magazine for 4 years for only $20. Haven't missed one yet. I might take them up on the current offer if I find something interesting to get.

 

I usually only use the subscription cards in the magazines or subscribe on their websites...some of them are doing 2 for 1's so me and a buddy have been splitting the costs of them

 

I signed up and got a confirmation email back from them so I'm sure its legit. Here it is:

If you read the link you have, it sounds like it's just for one mag. not a subscription.

No, its not just one magazine! Read down the list of magazines and it tells you how many issues you get in a year. Follow through, pick one magazine and go to the secure site page and it tells you the price and how many issues you get before you put in your credit card information. LATELY I'VE BEEN GETTING TELE-MARKETERS WANTING TO 'EXTEND' MY SUBSCRIPTION! i give them the 'story' that i'm out-of-work' and they got the price to $18 per year. they're to 'call-back' and confirm the order,
BUT THEY NEVER CALLED! i thought this was the best deal, til this came along!
this is the cheapest per year price EVER on STREET RODDER! you-betcha
i took advantage of this screaming deal! [the cards in the latest issue are for $29.95 per year!]
i've got every issue of STREET RODDER from volume #1, #1 to the present volume #38, #2.
maybe i too cautious, but i did the 'bill me later', rather than charge it on the card.

I decided that since they were so much advertising junk in the car mags that when my subscriptions run out I won't renew. The HAMB Alliance is the best deal. I can see more neat cars on here and don't have all the advertising.
