  1. Sweet! Street rodder, cl***ic truck and rod and custom for less than a single one year subscription. Early Christmas present for myself!

I'm just curious... you're *****ing that there's too much "advertising junk" in the car mags, but just how do you think they're paying to produce those magazines? It's not selling subscriptions at eight bucks a year. That doesn't cover the cost to mail your copy to you.

I never understand why guys whine about advertising in a magazine.

I just got the same email about subscriptions for $8.00. Also got a card in my Rod & Custom Magazine that shows you can subscribe to Street Rodder & Rod & Custom for $11.97 (total for both) plus $3.00 postage. Maybe they're being printed in China now!

I did it last year when they offered Street Rodder for 3 years for $30 and it was fine. I just did it with this one and there have been no issues with it. I got a confirmation for each magazine I ordered too. Its legit. I think the reason they offer a special like this is to keep their circulation numbers up because that determines their ad rates. The internet has been tough on all print magazines and they need subscribers. Ads don't bother me a bit, in fact I like them. How many of you that don't like them can say you have never bought anything from the aftermarket? What do you think Edelbrock, Offenhauser, and the rest did back in the early 50's? They advertised in Hot Rod and the rest of the magazines of the day. Where would we be now if people didn't advertise?

I'd like to know that too. I kind of doubt it because I think they are looking for new subscribers to get their numbers up.

Don't know if I did something wrong when ordering? Have not received a confirmation yet. How long did it take to get something from them by e-mail after the order?

I guess I will call them tomorrow and see what they say. Order might have not gone through or forgot something. I was redirected to the order page after I filled in all info name, address, cc and all then clicked on submit. Mat be the cv number was wrong? Is it the three number on back of card(last three)?

Yes, the last three numbers of the sequence, usually separated slightly.

i have been a reader and collector of ROD & CUSTOM since 1967. and have been a subscriber and for better than half as many years . i havent been getting my magazine lately so i call to find out why. ROD & CUSTOM had stopped my subscription without even an email notice . so i get the subscription restarted and request my missing issues. they tell me they are perminantly out of stock for all my missing issues for replacement. yet i went to their back order page and every missing issue is available , if i want to pay 7 dollars an issue plus shipping that is ! at this point i am not renewing my subscription and i am not recomending ROD & CUSTOM magazine to anybody . the content of the magazine is great but i wont give my money to a company that doesnt believe in customer satisfaction . in my opinion Primmedia ****ed and evidently Source Interlink isnt looking any better!
