Technical Magna Flux 8BA/EAB Flathead Block

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1937 Fordor, Apr 23, 2015.

  1. I am going to be dis***embling my 1952-53 8BA Ford engine and want to have it magna fluxed and pressure tested. Can any body tell me about what it will cost to have the block magna fluxed and pressure tested in the Chicago/NW Indiana region? Any help appreciated.

. last Pontiac block I had done was $250 for the cleaning ( oven cleaned) , and inspections ( the cleaning was $75 , the inspection was hourly at 75 per hour ( and was done using liquid vs powder and degaused ( demagnatized) afterwords ) . one thing also to consider there isn't too many shops really doing work any more , most of its farmed out to one shop . and make sure they have the MT equipment as some shops do not have the MT equipment and are using spot check spray .
