I got a set of 16x11 American Bear Paws from a friend of mine and I want to
protect them. They are in pretty descent shape with some pits from the years.
My question is; does anyone know someone who polish these correctly.
I need someone who I can trust and not be panicked about the being turned into
    kindling.
This is my first post, I hope this is the appropriate place to ask these questions

    Thanks Rick

Rick, I dug your yellow car at San Antonio! Didn't it have the new Centerline compe***ion series or their Vintage wheels on it?

As to your question, I do not know a polisher in Houston to recomend but... talk to some the the truck drivers, especially fuel haulers (shiny aluminum tanks). And they should know the best in your area. Then search Gibbs brand here on the HAMB. Very good protectant for magnesium.

I had some mags polished and tried the Gibbs on them. Didnt care for the haze it left and had to re-polish. If you have another set of wheels & tires(roll arounds) pull the mag ones off and get some of those bags that seal and uses a vac*** cleaner to **** all the air out and then open them when you are ready to use again. The polishing will last for years that way with only minor hand buffing from then on.

I would really consider not polishing them. Pics would help.

I will get some pictures when I get back.
I have a new car going together and they would awesome on it.
The outer sections are already polished and the centers are still gray looking unpolished.
The centers are not corroded fortunately.
I like the space bag idea. I had a friend mention they can now apply a ceramic clear coating and stop all the polishing. I don't know about any coatings?
