MAGNESIUM Halibrand V8. For those who claim Halibrand never made magnesium rear covers, this one is proof that they did - both the case and the finned rear cover are mag. Standard 3.78 r&p (I'm removing the spool - it is 31 spline and useless for a hot rod application). Open drive lower shaft with steel yoke and aluminum seal plate. The internals are mint - the cleanest I've ever seen - there was a painted finish on the outside that I've mostly removed and it likely protected the magnesium as it looks very nice on the outside as well. 23/25 spur gears for 3.48/4.11 ratios. Includes a set of closed-end polished steel rear cover nuts and the cool gold finished steel ones seen in the last pics. I have it securely packaged in a plywood box. $3200 USD plus shipping.
BTTT - I also have late model mag sidebells and steel axle tubes with Ford big bearing axle ends - $500 USD extra for those.
