magnesium wheel care?

    does anyone know the proper way to take care of magnesium wheels?? i like em natural black looking and was gonna blast em... but i heard you have to rub some kinda oil on em to protect em or seal the pores.... what do you guys think????
     
  2. Try Gibbs brand - excellent to slow down oxidation of magnesium.

    If you want the black look, just sit back, have a beer and work on your golf swing. They will be black soon enough! We polished mine 45 years ago when I was a kid and would polish them to a chrome like finish every week before or at the track. Now with the car restored I need to wax/polish them at least every 6 weeks. Thats a minimum, but when they are polised they sure look great.
