Magnesium wheels best way to seal and what to use , mine leak down after awhile. Not the one pictured
Way back in the late 70's early 80's Chevrolet issued a bulletin for very slow leaks in Corvette factory aluminum wheels. I involved epoxy paint on the inside surfaces if I remember correctly.
I ran tubes in the mags that I had for years . Sometimes tubes would stick to inside of the rim also . Baby Powder was my fix for this , don’t know if correct or not , but it worked .
Yes they do. But it's a very slow leakage. I just keep check on the air. And also the oil, Q.C. fluid, water, ect. It's just part of the fun of a Hot Rod. lol
If you live near an industrial city Google “vacuum impregnation” it is a process where resins/plastics are used to seal porosity in castings. Here is an example: https://www.sharrettsplating.com/ad...involves the removal, create a leak-proof seal. Many foundries or customers of foundries routinely vacuum impregnate aluminum/magnesium casting either before or after machining to insure no leakage of fluids or gases. You might Google to see if there is a company local to you. There are numerous foundries in Wisconsin so there’s a good chance. At one time there was a source in Milwaukee.
