Technical Magnesium wheels

Curious, what do you glean from Jay and this other guy doing that vs Sega and hot rodders? Is it right vs wrong or?

 

That’s my reason for thread because I don’t know. Common sense tells me that sixty year old race wheels are not the thing to use on a street car especially a wheel that’s been getting thinner and more brittle over time. But I don’t have a set and common sense hasn’t made much difference in quite a few of my automotive life decisions.
I was hoping that someone would have some technical insight into magnesium wheels or principles of magnesium and I’d get more information that just opinions.
