Tough Day. I credit working for **** in 86-87 as the impetus to continue working and building these cars. He coached and yelled in unison, and got more out of me than I knew I had. I nearly stayed on in`87, and he wanted me to, but ,because of other stuff happening at the time, I wasn`t able to.
My very best to Lois and the boys.....I know I was very blessed to know him...

Was gonna say this one as well Don. **** gave Brian Burnett the AMBR ***le with this build and with it's Ferrari Engine and Borani Wires along with the DuVall made that the 80's version of what I think Doane would've built.
Godspeed Magoo, Lots of great company up there. Glad the you built so many iconic rods from T's,A's Deuces to Model 40's!!!!!!

His 28-29 Roadsters sure had the look, but I really liked his full fendered '27 T Touring. Prayers going out to his family and friends. Bob

I had the good fortune to move to southern Cal just as I approached becoming a teenager. One day on my paper route I spotted a hot rodded T phaeton in the garage of a meticulously maintained house just a block off Woodlake Ave. One of the first hot rods to fan the flames of interest. A few years later he'd opened his shop in the garage on the alley behind that same house. If you've ever seen the picture on the cover of Rod Action that was the one. He would always spare a few minutes to describe what he was doing and why. Hard to believe that first encounter was over 50 years ago. Thank you ****........you'll be missed.

****'s "Magoosters have aged well. Here's one a couple of years ago, owned by a good friend of Duece Daddy and I. They all had just the right stance and fit. Mason 1.jpg Mason 2.jpg

His builds were in all the magazines, when I got into hot rods. His style was flawless. You never saw his cars with useless pieces of **** screwed onto them. The man built cars with a purpose. He built Hot Rods..
