Ok guys....I drove my ride on its first serious drive to the Oz capital in Canberra from Melbourne. That constitutes around 7-8 hrs of driving. Jimbob and Sam were following on this trip after attending the Vic Hot Rod show in Melbourne. The car ran real well, considering it was 42 deg C...I dunno what that works out to in Farenheit, but it was fuckin HOT, I mean, the air was searing hot. The flatty ran all the way at around 180-195 without using the elec fan. To say I was stoked is an understatement. When I left I had around 120 miles or so on the odometer....so it was fresh and untested. I made it there but I had to stop for a wheel alingmenet as my tires were toein in too much. That was worth the stop alone in rural New South Wales, it was an old skool art deco styled tire joint so it was worth it. Here are some pix....hope u like Rat
No more bananna backs for you? I'm thrilled.................I think that's one hell of a sexy rod, but you know that already.
Holy moley! In American hot, 42C is 107F... nice coupe, but I hope you had a big bag of ice inside for the drive. PS - happy Australia Day to all you Down Under HAMBers.
Yep, Damn hot. I was impressed with the way it all went. And a top 6 to boot in a local run that weekend , it's one real nice car. PS, post one of the shots at the shop Frank.
Thanx for the comments ...all I can say is that if it wasnt for Jimbob and Sam, this project wouldnt have reached the happy conclusion that it has - what can I say but thanx guys, I couldnt have dont it without ya'all !! BTW I didnt take the pix...I can give credit to Drewfus and Sam for that....nice shots eh? Rat
