    Nice photos. Back in the 80's,I lived quite near Grantsville, in an even smaller town called Lawford,just over the Ricthie County line, near Auburn. Even then,Grantsville was a step back in time. Thanks for the memories.

    The Hur Herald is a good internet read. As a newspaper, it's better than the Calhoun Chronicle. I too enjoy the archival photos and have sent a few in myself. It's a shame that Granstville was once such a booming little town in the oil field boom days and is little more than a few stores and churches now. The West Fork area is the home of a lot of super bluegrass and old time musicians. Long live "Sunny Calhoun".
