So it was a good day hauling the poupe to DMV and getting titled as a 36 Dodge coupe. The DMV inspector did not want to get up on the trailer to see the Vin tag so she asked if i would read it to her. It could have been masking tape and a sharpie................Ray

  9. I just read this whole thread. Holy shit! Are you some kind of god? You're "'36 Dodge coupe" looks bitchin! You've got talent and balls and just one of those wouldn't be enough to pull this off like you have. Great job! Geezus! I'm so not worthy.

Well it's been a couple weeks and have got some stuff done. Blew the car back apart and painted the inside and under the body. Cleaned up the frame and re did the front kick up and frame rails to make it flow better. Painted my used engine and dropped it back in.
Now i can keep putting it together for keeps untill the weather gets better so i can squirt the outside. Ray

I used up all the superlatives I know a long time ago on this thread, Ray. I'll just echo what GreazHonkey said. And it must have felt like a sort of "victory" getting the ol' "Poupe" registered, eh?!?!?!

So, is it to be this color, or are you still thinking it over?

I have ust read the whole thread tonight from start to this point and all i can say is that you sir are the epitome of what being a hot rodder is all about, knowing what you have to start with, knowing what you want it to look like and do it,if you don't have a part then you make it,and you are going to finnish it,some people would have quit by now but not you! i believe there are a lot of early rodders in hot rod heaven drinking your health with pride for you are trully a HOT RODDER!
By the way in the M/Cycle fraternaty there is a was a kiwi gentleman that had the same grit and determination that you have shown his name was BURT MUNRO!!

Jimi: Ray, that is a fine compliment AND well deserved. I have to ADD, I just couldn't imagine that original grille shell turning out THIS nice!
