So the style lines are what i have been
trying to figure out the best way to build. I have tried different way's. I even made a crude set of dies to hammer form and then made straight stuf on a brake and then pie cut............. Then a bead roller/step dies...... It was all Screwy..... I ended up using 1/4" round rod and tacking ii on the body, then making a card board template off that, cutting up some 20 gauge, tacking on to the rod and then hammering it over the edge.....tack/grind etc.... I think its going to work. This front one is the hardest and as it goes down the quarterpanel it will tapper down as it meets up with the end. Were the lines are straight i can use stuff i bent on the brake. Ray

Honestly at first I didn't like it, but now with those changes to the rear and roof, it's really looking sweet.

So i have been working on the roof. Most would fill the roof and move on but a coupe would have a roof insert. I built a frame for extra support and a pinch well gutter. I think it will look good and give the roof added supprt. Ray

The coupe style roof insert is a great idea, I like where this is going. Touches like that really make it convincing.

Today i built some small supports that connect the upper door opening to the insert frame and then pounded out the patch panel to cover ir up. Pretty happy with it.....

The other day i bought a complete driving pretty good motorhome for1200 bucks. The 440 had just been built with all reciepts and a dyno sheet showing 389 hp at 4500rpm, the trans was a couple years old so out they came....... sold the genset and gave the rest to a wrecking yard for the engine pull. I think it should move the poupe' just fine, Ray

  26. Damn!! This is turning out very nicely....and a 440! There just isn't anything out there that couldn't benefit from a 440! :D(But I'm biased)

So i built the last two style lines that connect the quarters together. The one below the window and the one on the rear apron. Started spreading some putty. Still plenty to do and redo as the body comes together.
