Here are some pics from before and after from some changes I have made since my trade from a few weeks ago. Got rid of those small chrome headlights and those lantern style tail lights. Swapped out those T-bucket style headers for some nice lake pipes from Matt @ Gear Drive. After cruise season is over will be going in for a paint job. Going to be Dawn Gray with Maroon frame, firewall, and wheels. Either going with spokes or steelies.

Thanks s**** metal 48, I'm looking forward to my winter project. According to the weather people it's going to be a long & nasty winter up north here. Hope to have her standing tall by spring...

I can't stand it either. I just have to live with it until cruise season is over. It's getting a three deuce set up this winter.

I can understand that, but a cheap one from Auto Zone would be better than that.

OK. I think I have an old simple style round one laying around that I'm going to put on until I install my tri-power set up.

OK, I removed the scoop, and 2" carburetor spacer and mounted the carb on the intake. Also ordered a set of black plug wires, and an old style set of polished Edelbrock valve covers. I will post some pics once this little makeover is complete by weeks end.

OK, I lost the JC Whitney upper radiator hose cover mess and installed a new regular hose.
Lost the ugly air scoop hated by many including myself. Put a temp on until I get the Tri-Power set up.
    Painted the firewall flat white.
I think it's starting to look a little better????

Getting much closer to the winter make over...

  17. My dad keeps telling me about this black sedan running around.... Now I know what he's talking about! What kind of tires are on the front of your car?

Lookin good! Those cragars would be better suited on something else and maybe with blackwalls showin.
I also notice It looks like you went with radial wide whites this time as well.

Yes I went with radials also. I like to do some longer distance runs and didn't want any issues running in the rain if caught. Those slicks just not meant for running in the rain. They sure do look nice though.

Well I found the color I'm going to paint the sedan. Ford Folkstone Gray.
Just like what is on this beautiful 1940 Ford.

Looks more like a lite brown on my end but I know some colors have a deceiving name.
