Hey everyone. My name's Nic, im 19 years old and am from British Columbia, Canada. Ive been lurking on here for a couple years but have recently bought a 1954 Pontiac so I figured I'd make an account! Im still not 100% sure on what im going to do with it, I have a ton of ideas. Im sure ill find some inspiration on here though!

Hi & welcome. Looks like you have a good one to finish. Is it running? If not get it to run & drive first. Then check the brakes, lights & tires & drive the heck out of it while you make up your mind. One mistake many make is to strip it down to do everything at one time. That will prevent you from driving it until finished. Just tackle one job at a time when doing it yourself and you can still enjoy the ride while working on it.

    Good luck, Jim

Thanks for the welcome. No it doesnt run yet, its still ceased but I put some diesel and atf in the cylinders and it has been soaking for a couple weeks. Im going to try and snap it loose here soon. Yeah thats my plan, get it driving before I do anything. Even if I just get a couple day permit for it, I just want to see what it was like driving a car of that era.

Thanks! Man I love '54 chevys, one of my favorites! Ive been keeping an eye out for one for a couple years but they're kind of few and far between where I live so I just settled for the Pontiac. Plus you cant really go wrong for $300 haha

Mate even just a good coat of paint will make a big difference. Mine looked a bit shabby when I bought it but as you can see it comes up great.
