I needed door hinges for my modified project and didn't want to spend the $300 for a set, so I thought I would try to make my own. I bought some long 1/2 inch bolts and had my buddy cut the shanks to length and drill a letter C hole in the center. I then fashioned the body of the hinge from s**** 2 X 3 X .125 wall tubing. I think the photos show it all. When welding the door side tab to the center I used a 1/8 inch spacer between the door side and body side. Excuse the welding, I will bet you Tig welders can make them look real pretty. I plan on using a 1/4 inch hinge pin, but you can size your center hole accordingly.
