....upcoming new Flathead project so I needed to off load this to free up the engine stand. Damn me If Im tempted to drop this in....P E R M A N E N T L Y !!! Nahh....I love my Flathead too much. Rat
I couldn't love the flatty that much. Just start another project for the flatty. Pretty cool way to keep and display a motor, so tell us about the flatty.
Um, that or the flathead. Lets see how heavy is a flathead ? Heavy enough to serve as an effective anchor ? Hmmm
I agree with starting another project so you can have both. Just DON'T try and do both projects at the same time (do the Hemi first) Frank
take two & call me in the morning. "the man who thinks long , thinks wrong" i hate it when that happens
So my good mate A BONE keeps telling me....I keep dreaming about ARDUNs and to relieve or to not relive....HAHA !! So, heres the scoop. The Hemi I have slated for another project, the coupe at this stage will stay FH powered UNLESS this motor goes but damn it looks so good in the coupe. I have some parts for the Hemi already, fresh rockers/shafts, a blower roller cam/lifters, rods and have already ported the heads. So, I picked up my freshly maching 289 cube FH from the machine shop yesterday and spent today cleaning the block, cleaning out oil galleries, etc and prepping and painting the block inside and out. Came out real nice. So....I wonder should I start up a build thread on the blown flathead rebuild? Im still debating on a .100" relief with the deep chambered Edelbrock heads.... Rat
Frank, I agree, I never work on more than one project at a time...its my golden rule and I never break it. Seen what happens when you dont haha. Rat
I don't know ... I'd forget about the engines and focus more on the chassis, some clown put the steering box on the wrong side. That's gonna take a LOT of Borgesons to fix that.
