Has anyone tried to make 3) 94's or 97's work on a late model Ford small block manifold that came with a fuel injection setup? I have a 302 truck intake (with the sqaurish holes) all in a row and am trying to make an adapter. Problem is each port/runner (starting from the front) goes to its own cylinder. I think I need a common plenum so that I can start and idle on 1 carb and then bring the other 2 in on full mash. I cant seem to finger in out! Ideas? I thought about grinding the deviders out from between the ports to make a mixing area but is that what I need? I cant afford a real 3 deuce--help!!!

just make an open plenum to bolt onto the top of the manifold with a plate on top to mount the carbs to.

or make one out of a piece of pipe like the old U-Fab intakes. a flange on the bottom to mate to the manifold and 3 on top for the carbs.

I think Jerry's got the ticket, if you want a common plenum.

Why not run four carbs, and give each cylinder its own barrel?

Ummmm...well, okay...I'll let ya in on what I thought was MY secret! [IMG]

I'm making one now for a 302 using a Mustang lower intake manifold from a fuelie car. It will sport a collection of Solex (VW) carbs mounted on a plate which will sit on top of a modified phenolic spacer with the center ribs cut out to create a small plenum area. Each carb will feed two cylinders.

    Low buck Hackery!

Not on a small block, but this thing is really neat. It's a Webber 3-barrel adapted to a flathead. Pretty ingenious I think.

After seeing a 3 carb windsor intake at a swap for $1100 last week I think Im gonna make my own too.
going to use an early windsor ally 2V manifold, weld on two carb plates and hole saw them out.
They arent the best flowing manifold but with three small two barrells should be ok.
Ill post picks when i do it in a couple of weeks.

    Basicly,you need a Aluminum box.
Holes in the top to suit the carbs, holes in the bottom to suit the manifold.Round over the edges on the big holes in the base.
If you can do some very basic machining,it's not a problem.Don't forget to plug the holes for the injectors.

Instead of plugging the injector holes, plumb 'em for Nitrois man--Bling Bling!!! The perfect combination of old school and Fast and the Furious!! Then the tuner dorks and the greybeards would hate me--nice. Totally traditional!
