    $3000 tune up?

    Did the tune up include a set of tires?

    Did you leave out the "repare"(sic) part intentionally?:

    "we put $3000 in for tuneups and repare last month run’s perfect" and " They have done some work on the ignition, carburetion, and the PowerFlite and Transmission is fixed."

    It's not hard to put that much into a vintage vehicle just for repairs. I easily spent $1500+ to get my '98 DD caught up on maintenance, and I doubt many auto parts store carry parts for a '56 Chrysler...and if they do they aren't 1974 prices anymore.

    Not everyone is a DIYer who can spend the time hunting down cheap parts.
