I love it! Start with a hood so ugly it makes your eyes hurt, and end up with a cool grille shell. Way to go.

  2. hey thanks for the kind words guys, i'm really pleased with the way it came out. might hafta chop it an inch or so, though. it's really close to the road!! mabye just raise the shell a bit. it's lower than the cowl by a couple inches.....watcha think? i plan to have a nerf bar built out in front of the shell and lights as well... please excuse the radials:)

Cool, those truck hoods lend themselves quite well to custom work. I used the same hood as the rear roll pan on the Punk.

I like the grille Idea with the two ovals, but I don't know if it would let enough air to the radiator...

I've actually got one put together with two ovals, however, I used two hoods so that the top and bottom match. Needs metal finishing and I think I'll widen it at the openings too. Glad to see you're back at it Matt. I like seeing progress on your truck.

As for the cooling issue it's a thought of mine too. As much as I love deuce grills I just want something different. I'm not sure it'll make it onto the coupe though. We'll see down the road.

I'd say leave the drawer knobs on the kustoms. The shell looks great.

I agree with you. It might need to come up a little higher, but I like the way you have it sitting visually below the cowl line. So many times folks mount the shell above that line. It always looks funny to me. I like when it appears as you could just slap a hood on it - the lines are there.

Didn't think I'd like it at first, but the end product is nice. Good job.
