Made the drivers side header for my A-V8 coupe . Used a 36 driveshaft cut in half for the collectors. I'm hoping to get the passenger side done tommorrow night. What do you think?
I like the look when the rear (diff) flanges are welded on, nice to see driveshaft tubes used for their intended second life.
This weekend I'll finish welding the headers and add the flanges. I'd like to run straight out the headers but I don't think it will pass inspection that way. Gonn have to weld on a stub on the end of the header on the bottom side to connect the exhaust to. I think it needs to exit behind thedriver and passenger doors. Once its inspected then I could remove exhaust and mufflers and see how long I can get away with it. Don't think flatheads are all that loud uncorked.
