Since picking up the 29 Sedan a Month or so ago, I have been collecting parts. Found a running 327 the same weekend as the body and got a T350 tranny from one HAMBer some garnish moldings fron another (Thank you to those that have help) and last week got a dash rail on ebay for $9.99 but today I scored a 9" Ford (57.25 width) with 355 gears and posi from a friend. Now I need to start looking for front suspension pieces Anyone use the P&J long ladder bar kits and a cross spring on a Model A before (would like comment) also considering a 4 link & coil overs for the rear Just had to tell someone about my rearend score, part collecting is a blast when you don't feel like you have to do it all at once and can spread it out as the deals come around... Back to the garage to practice my welding with my mig (just got it up and running last night)..
Congratulations on the parts Scores...... To me, the chase is the best part of messing with old cars. The detective work involved finding pieces, dealing with nice (and sometimes not so-nice) people and the road trips involved. I like driving my old cars but I dearly LOVE the chase.
Deuce, Got to agree with you on the parts chase. I've got projects that I've been collecting parts for years. Yea it would be nice to get on with the building but I've got plenty to keep myself occupied, so if I die before I get everything done my son and grandson will have a lot less to find. haha!!! Frank
