....sits perfect. All the coverage of Bonneville and seeing Malcolm's car, coming and going, doesn't matter, perfect rake.....good job.....that's all.
Truth. I love that car and I don't even get that bent out of shape over 60's Galaxies. I would drive the **** out that thing. It's beautiful.
I saw it heading east last week, on I-80 between Evanston, Wy. and Rock Springs, Wy. It is an awesome car, looks great going down the road.
I have always admired Malcolm's car,,,simple and tasteful. What more could you ask for? My dad bought a new black Galaxie in 62,,,I learned how to drive in that car looking thru the steering wheel,,and I also got my first speeding ticket in that car and my first face slap while s****in' at the drive-in movies on the back row! The Galaxie had a 390 and stood up well to all the punishment I dished out.HRP Read the story here,, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265340&highlight=parents+car
Chopstick a fencepost? And Malcolms car looks good rolling downt he road, we p***ed em in KC a couple years back after the drags.
Wow... thanks alot, Jeem and everyone else. I don't know what to say! I feel like this may be a bit of a let-down, but my Galaxie is 'bagged. I do raise it a little (front & back), compared to that photo, for city and highway driving. Maybe 1" to 1-1/2"? Overall, I try to keep that stance/rake, whether sitting low or slightly raised for normal driving. Glad you guys like it! Jeem, I always liked your old pickup -- seems we may have similar tastes (first photo I could find of it w/ whitewalls..) I'll see some of you at the HAMB Drags this weekend, right!? Fiddy, maybe some 'sporking'?? haha.. Oh, and to maybe add some more humor to this... A friend sent me this recently
