Mallory dist ID

In my visit to a boneyard today I found a Mallory dist, model 2b,type 275ax. It's for a 8 cylinder,possibly a flathead. Can anyone verify this? I don't have a flathead but it should be good trading material.

275A is 49-53 flathead,,cant find an ax in my catalog,,but will look some more

 

I believe the X means that it has the extended shaft.
