Hot Rods mallory dist.

I bought a Mallory, YC501HP, thought it was for a flathead but it isn't even close. Can anyone ID the application? The tag says YC501HP and on the neck it is stamped ZC 501, the cap is 4004. Thanks for your help.

I might, can you tell me what years Olds it is for? I have a 49 Rocket 88 motor too that I would like to find a Mallory for.

 

Would you like to sell this dizzy? I just bought a new cap wires and pertronix ignitor for my 501 and then something in the mechanical advance broke and blew bits all over the place. I have all these new parts and no distributor. Thanks
