Hot Rods Mallory Distributer 40 Ford

Can I replace points in my 40 Ford Mallory 3 bolt dual point distributer without throwing the timing off?? Is there anywhere that I could send the distributer to get the points installed.. I am a do it yourself person with not a lot of experience with a flathead ignition experience. I have replaced the points on a 8BA with the Mallory before. Any help will be appreciated
