fellas I thought you might like to know what subsitute condenser works on later style mallory dual point distributors so you dont have to buy the hi-dollar mallory part. a 1964 corvette 327 hp condenser is a perfect swap.bwd part # G120A. LIFETIME GUARANTEE FROM ORIELLYS. 12.00 BUCKS INC TAX.

Thanks for the info. I have a mallory dual point distributor on my 50 Ford flathead. Put it on in 1996 when I rebuilt the engine. I bought extra points and condenser for it. First condenser went bad in a very short time. Put the spare on and it went bad just as quick. I've only run generics since without any problems. The car is a driver. I've put over 80k miles on it between 1995 and 2009. Need to get it out and start driving it again. Tomorrow I'll go pick up the one who mentioned. Thanks.

Do These condensers tend to go slowly or do they just burn out? I've chased a restart issue round in circles and the condenser's about the only thing I hadn't thought of????
