Anyone have any of these? In particular the red ones. I believe they're also listed as the "A" spring. (As compared to the "B" spring etc.) If you have some and also have a trigger weight scale could you stretch the spring about 1/4" and note the weight? I have a few GM springs as well as some very similar in size springs, but do not want to install blindly. That because I want to change the advance curve and the Mallory weights are difficult to access so once is enough. #37 YL Unilite fwiw.
i have a tin of these i got in a box of stuff at a swap a few years back... you need to know how many ounces pull @ 1/4" ? i'll get back to ya tomorrow when i dig em out
Great, thank you muchly. Don't let the tin get away from you, the springs in a kit are very expensive - $45. - $50. with shipping. For the whole kit....
well, expensive lesson learned... the box the tin was in got water damaged over the last two years sitting in the barn in storage, and the springs are a mess of rusted crud. sorry bro, this'll bump it up for you at least
Not a prob, many thanks for trying. Just so you don't think you're the only one, a pal just stopped by to talk about his SBC powered 47 coupe's low oil pressure. Looked like a gauge problem, dug out my box of spare gauges, you guessed it, everything except an oil pressure gauge was in there....
now if you REALLY want to feel bad, as i know you have a love for the ironic... i came across two brang new oil gauges in the barn whilst looking for those springs
