Turn the key to the on position light comes on then turn key to the start position a the light flashes one time and goes out .?? What is going on .
It's shorting out..., I've had Mallory distributors loose their bushings and you couldn't tell where the problem was until you wiggled the rotor shaft!!! Sounds like it could be that problem and it is simple to check..., take your cap off and see if your rotor wobbles in the housing! If it seems normal you'll have to check your wires and connectors!
